Bike Utah Welcomes New Staff!
Two of Bike Utah’s core programs are growing! Our Youth Bicycle Education and Safety Training (Youth BEST) program and the 1,000 Miles Program are adding talented members to their teams!
We are excited to welcome our newest Youth BEST Coordinator, Alexa Everson. Alexa comes to UT via Southern California, and will put her experience as an active travel guide to work helping Utah’s youth gain a love of cycling. She says, “I hope that I can help the youth that are typically underrepresented in the cycling industry feel less intimidated and empowered to use bikes as a tool to aid in their mental & physical health.”
Alexa joins Program Manager Jace Burbidge and fellow Coordinators Lulu Avila, Vince Lok, and Mary Walter.
We are also happy to have a new intern, Bjorn Nicolaisen, on board! He is currently studying geography at the University of Utah and will be tasked with helping to track and map the progress of the 1,000 Miles Program.
Finally, we’re thrilled to have our summer intern, Sariah Graham, staying on board to further help with 1,000 Miles Program outreach. She is currently pursuing her Master of Public Administration, nonprofit management emphasis at Brigham Young University.
