A community MTB racing experience that is fun, challenging, and supportive for riders of all ages and abilities.

The Mid Week XC Series is comprised of 6 cross-country MTB races at venues throughout the Wasatch front & back, from Utah County to Weber County. These races follow traditional Mid Week XC format - mass starts, double & single track trails, circular courses with one start and one finish. We welcome MTB riders of all ages and abilities, and our mission is to support all levels of individual skill-building and mountain biking goals.

General Race Schedule

Volunteer with us!

Our races don’t happen without the support of our amazing volunteer community. If you’re coming to our races as a spectator - try volunteering! Need to use those community service hours at work - we’ve got a spot for you!

Mid Week MTB Series volunteers receive an awesome t-shirt, a free entry to a future race, an entry into our evening giveaway, and a lot of love and high fives from racers!

We’ve got volunteer spots that last for a short time or the whole evening, are at the base area or on course, are hike-to or bike-to. We need energetic and enthusiastic people to help check in racers, trail marshal on course, organize racers at the start lines, and pick up course markings.

Get Paid to Volunteer! Bike Utah is a registered non-profit organization. Ask your employer about paid volunteer hours, paid days off to volunteer, or other potential benefits for volunteering. We will provide appropriate documentation.

Important info about these races

  • Please understand that by agreeing to race with us, you’ve agreed to everything in the Racer Handbook. Become familiar with that document - it contains a lot of good information!

  • This is a bike race. You agree to wear a helmet at our races ANY time you are on a bike. That includes in the parking lot, during warm-ups, on stage transfers, during cool-downs, etc.

  • We don’t take ourselves overly seriously, and you shouldn’t either. No one is here to qualify for the Olympics or win a big prize purse. Those who take home medals (or at least high fives and kudos) will be the ones who are the most friendly and supportive of all riders on course. Race results may not necessarily be available on race night, but some great sponsor-provided swag will be!

Sponsor the 2025 Mid Week MTB Series

Our sponsors are the backbone of the Mid Week Fat Bike & MTB Series. Without their support, we wouldn't be half the race series we are. Our goal with sponsorships is to help offset race production costs so that 100% of the revenue raised from registration fees can go directly to supporting other Bike Utah programs.
