Community Engagement

At Bike Utah, we believe that bicycling is more than just recreation but a legitimate form of transportation that improves cities, towns, neighborhoods, and the lives of those who live in them. With our work in communities, we strive to lower barriers to cycling related to:

Gear and Maintenance

For some adults, riding a bicycle is their main form of transportation. In other cases, access to bikes for both adults and youth is the first barrier to overcome

The Built Environment

Safe and comfortable places to ride and secure bicycles can help new riders find their confidence.

The Development of Safe Cycling Culture

Working with community partners to increase knowledge of bike safety and visibility of the cycling community

Bike Utah’s Community Engagement program serves all Utah communities with events, demonstrations, and advocacy efforts that break down barriers to cycling, improve access to infrastructure, and strengthen cycling culture.
