2023 Mid Week MTB XC Endurance Races - CANCELLED

UPDATE: (May 15) We’re sorry to say that due to low registration for these events, we’ve made the decision to cancel this race series. With the seed of the idea now planted in the Mid Week Community, we’ll try again next year to make an event like this happen.

Welcome to the 2023 season of the Bike Utah Mid Week MTB XC Series! In addition to our 7 “usual” XC races, we’re adding 3 XC “Endurance” events once a month in May, June, and July. These races may be completed as an individual or a small (up to 4-person) relay team. The Endurance races will feature 2-3 hours of riding on lapped courses. Details for registration, category information, general race night info, and specific race info can be found below.

Volunteers

Volunteers sign up links will be available the month before the Mid Week MTB Series starts. We appreciate volunteer support in the following areas:

  • Check-in : 2-4 people - 4:00-5:30pm - located at the base area - check in racers, hand out number plates, assist in race-day registration, answer general questions

  • Start line racer organization : 2-3 people - 5:45-6:15pm - located at the start line - help organize racers by category before their start time

  • Trail marshals : 5-8 people - 6:00-8/9:00pm - located on the race course, roving and static - man key intersections for safety of riders and public, relay race information to Race Director

  • Finish line timing : 4-6 people - 6:00-8/9:00pm located at the finish line(s) - keep an eye on the digital timer, write down finish time information

Volunteers earn an awesome one-of-a-kind t-shirt, an entry into our post-race swag giveaway, and a free Mid Week race registration (one for every race at which you volunteer - use them, share them, or stack them up to earn a free season pass for next year!) as compensation for their time and support!

Get Paid to Volunteer! Bike Utah is a registered non-profit organization. Ask your employer about paid volunteer hours, paid days off to volunteer, or other potential benefits for volunteering. We will provide appropriate documentation.

IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT THESE RACES

Sign your waivers - some venues require separate waivers from the Bike Utah Mid Week MTB Series waiver. You must have all waivers signed prior to racing. Waivers will be posted in the specific race information links and emailed out in the pre-race email to all racers.

Helmets are mandatory - this is a bike race.

This is a fun community race - and no one is here to qualify for the Olympics or win a big prize purse. Those who end up winners will be the ones who are the most friendly and supportive of all riders on course. Race results may not necessarily be available on race night, but some great sponsor-provided swag will be!
