UDOT: American Fork Canyon Project

American Fork Canyon is a popular road riding destination. In order to ensure the safety of everyone utilizing American Fork Canyon, UDOT is working to make canyon visitors are aware of current construction projects. Please ride safely and responsibly!

Phase two of fiber installation in American Fork Canyon is starting up again in mid-April. In a joint effort among UDOT, the U.S. Forest Service, the National Park Service, and Crown Castle International, crews will finish installing and constructing antenna poles along S.R. 92 and S.R. 144 to improve communications and to enhance safety in American Fork Canyon.

American Fork Canyon visitors can expect:

Weekday work: Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Friday, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Occasional lane restrictions and lane closures with one-way flagging operations Large construction vehicles entering/exiting the work zone

Work is slated to be complete by late summer 2020. Reminder that traffic, including bikes, are required to follow all flagging operations. UDOT is also scheduled to repave S.R. 92 and S.R. 144 starting in early May. For more information on both projects, visit udot.utah.gov/go/afcanyon.
