Safety Message: U.S. 89 in Davis County

From the Utah Department of Transportation: U.S. 89 Closed to Bicycles and Pedestrians in Davis County

Shoulder closures along U.S. 89 are now underway. It is no longer safe for bicyclists and pedestrians to walk or ride in the shoulders of U.S. 89. We are asking for your cooperation in keeping everyone safe. When the project is complete, the frontage roads will serve as a continuous bicycle route parallel to U.S. 89.

Until then, bicyclists are asked to consider alternate routes. Bicyclists and pedestrians wishing to cross U.S. 89 should use intersections with traffic signals.

Attached is a map that shows the closest parallel alternate route.
