Policy Bikes Offer Practical Experience

Shannon Ellsworth is a recently-elected City Councilperson for Provo City. She’s very interested in active transportation, and is one of the first borrowers of our Tern Policy Bikes. The Policy Bikes are commuter-oriented E-bikes which are available for Utah’s policy influencers at the local, regional, and state level to try for an extended period of time. Shannon was given her bike several weeks ago to gain a new perspective on her local infrastructure.

Here’s what Shannon has to say about her decision to try a Policy Bike:

“I’m borrowing the bike because I love biking but I live in the top part of the east foothills of Provo. My office and the city hall are each only a couple miles from my house, but it would be difficult to get back up the hill with a regular bike. I’m excited to see the city from a different vantage point and I’m really excited to get more exercise and reduce my carbon emissions.”
