Parents may ride behind their child if needed, but may not interfere with their racer or with any other racer. Parents must sign a waiver.

POSTED START TIMES are the exact time you will start racing Stage 1. Please arrive early enough to pick up your race plate and climb up to Stage 1 before your start time!

It is YOUR responsibility to arrive at the start of STAGE 1- (Undertow for Beginners and Handcycles - DEVO for all other classes), BEFORE your start time. Racers may not race Stage 2 first.

COURSE MAPS + DESCRIPTION

ME Course - Youth/Beginner/Handcycle 2 STAGES on UNDERTOW - All others will race STAGE 1 Devo and STAGE 2 Undertow

There are two stages to our Mini Enduro races.

ALL RACERS will race both stages in the correct order.

IMPORTANT STAGING INFORMATION FOR DEER VALLEY: Youth, Beginners, and Handcyclists will be racing BOTH stages on Undertow. Your Stage 1 start and your Stage 2 start will be at the same place. All others will race Stage 1 on DEVO and then transfer up to Undertow for Stage 2. You will ride up MIDMOUNTAIN to Silver Lake and then up the double track to the top of DEVO.

*There is a lot of construction impacting our regular climbing route this year. Plan on a GRIND up the fireroads and ski runs. This may add time to your ride up because it can get steep. We will be using access roads and ski runs. In addition to this, plan on using Midmountain to ride up to Silver Lake and then up to DEVO. THIS IS DIFFERENT THAN IN PREVIOUS YEARS! Because of trail construction we are not able to use the old FOURPOINT trail as a climb on race night!!! Your climb will be LONGER than it was last year. PLEASE plan your time accordingly!

For a slow and relaxed pace on the climb, plan on around 55-80 minutes to ride up to Stage 1. Plan your time accordingly and do not miss your start time. The start time you received is the time you must be at the STAGE 1 Start READY TO RACE! Plan on a 30-40 minute ride up to Stage 2, depending on how fast you ride. Both stages will use access road and a combination of ski runs as part of the stage transfer. The route will be marked, follow the Midweek flags. Watch out for other racers and public users on the trail. Be polite.

There will be 1-2 minute intervals between classes at STAGE 1.

If Sport+ riders arrive at STAGE 2 while Youth/Beginner/Handcycle riders are still completing their STAGE 2, racers may request a 1 or 2 minute interval and/or we may move Youth/Beginner/Handcycle riders in line in front of you. STAGE 2 intervals will be 30 seconds otherwise.

GENERAL Race Rules

Please be nice to anyone you encounter on the trails. The trail systems we race on are open to the public at all times.  We DO NOT close trails for our races.  Keep your eyes up and watch out for hikers, other cyclists, and animals (domesticated or otherwise).  Good trail etiquette applies at all times - especially during races!  Be nice, and say hi to anyone you encounter.

Please be kind to your fellow racers, all volunteers, and race staff. We know you want to go fast, and sometimes you have to pass or interact with other racers, but that is NEVER an excuse to be rude. Please be nice to all volunteers and race staff! THANK A TRAIL MARSHAL as you go by them! The Race Director, at their sole discretion, can/will disqualify anyone who exhibits unsportsmanlike behavior.

KNOW YOUR COURSE, and follow the flags and signs. We’ll have limited course markings, but our general rule of thumb is that the bright orange Mid Week flags will always be ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE TRAIL!

Helmets are mandatory. Period.
