Utah Safe System Symposium - Collaborating to implement road safety for all travelers in Utah.

An uptick in distracted and impaired driving resulted in April 2022 having the highest number, in Utah’s history, of road fatalities involving people not in a vehicle. 

To address this, Bike Utah is inviting professionals from multiple industries around the state to engage in discussions and presentations about current efforts and trends, and to identify a collaborative statewide approach to safety-related research, education, policy, and outreach that improves outcomes for all road travelers.

Complete networks of safe transportation systems (highways, sidewalks, cycling infrastructure, public transportation) are a priority because transportation is directly associated with health, access to education, job opportunities, clean air and water, wellness, and public safety.
